Introductions:

The Hosts:

Eric: Thank you for joining us on this journey. Our goal is to use the voice that God gave us to spread the truth and bring light in today's ever growing darkness. I am beyond honored to be on this road with all of you. As a strong conservative and a strong traditional Catholic, it has always been in my DNA to be a loud voice for the truth. The late Charlie Kirk, who was only a few months older then myself, has lit a fire in me just like he has in many of you. But I can't stay quiet any longer. Charlie said that when we stop talking, violence happens. And I am proud to help continue Charlie's legacy. In this podcast, we will cover an extensive range of topics. My co-host, Joe, and I can go onto just about any topic. But we are so blessed to be on this journey with all of you. Thank you for all your support, and don't ever hesitate to reach out and ask the hard questions.

Joe: I'm Eric's cousin, and I'm here to give Eric someone to talk to, so he's not talking to dead air or his cat Max. I'm also here because I like putting in my two cents and discussing and arguing everything and nothing all day. I am a big fan of President Ronald Reagan, whom I had the privilege of seeing when he was campaigning for reelection in 1984. I wasn't much older than two or three at the time, but seeing him made a big impact upon me. I am also one of the first generations of Rush Babies, those of us who grew up from a young age listening to Rush Limbaugh. I would also say that for someone my age, Pope Saint John Paul is a tremendous part of why we are how we are. And,lastly, for a traditional Catholic kid growing up in the 80s and 90s, Mother Mary Angelica of The Announciation, PCPA had a huge impact on all of us. Being able to visit her tomb in Hanceville, Alabama with my wife is one of my favorite memories of my life.

April: Hello, I do all the background stuff, video editing, helping with the website. I might hop on as guest from time to time and put my two cents in. And if you would like to read some of my rants or stories about the cats :D Just let me know.

What we have in store for you:

What we here at Flame Of The West do is to look at everything that goes on in our messy, anxious, sinful world and try to make sense of it all through the lens of our faith. We are doing this for ourselves, because we want to make sense of all the crazy things going on.

We were all affected by the tragic and senseless Assassination of Charlie Kirk. We were all inspired by his fearless defense of traditional values, Christian and American, and his peaceful, logical and loving way he did stand up for America, but first and foremost, how he stood and defended his faith. Might we all be so fearless, cheerful and happy.

We all remember listening to Rush Limbaugh, may he rest in peace, and having him make sense of the bizarre goings on of the world. Since he has returned the talent that God loaned him, we've been watching and listening to various folks, discussing things among ourselves and wondering What Would Rush Say? Obviously, none of us here have his talent, but we want to let you all in on the discussions, rants and wonderings and wanderings.

So, come along with us. We might not solve all the world's problems, but we hope we make a good dent in them. and along the way, if we challenge your thinking, make you laugh, cry and remember that no matter how dark it looks, Jesus has already won the war.

It's just up to each of us to fight the battles!
